Privacy policy

On the data processing of the scrtlnk.com ("SecretLink") website — under Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR). In effect from: 8 August 2026.

1. Data controller

The data controller is the operator of the website, SecretLink (the full name and address of the service provider is in the imprint). If you have a question about data processing, write to info@scrtlnk.com.

2. Data processed, purposes and legal bases

2.1 Getting in touch

If you write us an email, we process the email address you provide and the content of the message for the purpose of answering your enquiry.

• Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) — by writing the email, you consent to the processing of the data needed to reply.
• Retention: until the enquiry is closed, but for no longer than 2 years from first contact.

2.2 Traffic measurement (analytics)

The website runs cookieless analytics: it writes neither cookies nor localStorage data. For page views we store the following:

• the path opened and the event type,
• device category (desktop / mobile / tablet),
• the hostname of the referring website,
• an identifier derived from the visitor's IP address with a daily rotating salt and truncated (hashed) — the full IP address is never stored anywhere, and the hash yields a different value the next day, so visitors cannot be linked across days.

Purpose: measuring traffic and content performance. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Retention: analytics data is deleted automatically after 400 days.

3. Recipients

The data can be accessed by the website's hosting provider (the provider named in the imprint) for the purpose of operating the server. We do not hand the data over to any other third party, and we do not transfer it to a third country.

4. Rights of the data subject

Under the GDPR you may at any time request:

• access to the data concerning you,
• rectification of inaccurate data,
• erasure of your data (the "right to be forgotten"),
• restriction of processing,
• portability of your data, and
• objection to processing based on legitimate interest.

Account deletion (in the SecretLink application): you can permanently delete your account at any time in Settings. Deletion is immediate: the account, the profile, the images, the posts and the uploaded files are all deleted. Because of legal obligations or the rights of others, the following may be retained: security and moderation logs (for 12 months), evidence of minor-content escalations (until the official proceedings are closed), billing history (8 years, at the payment provider), and the other party's copies of the conversations you took part in (without identifying you).

You can send your requests to info@scrtlnk.com; we reply within 30 days. If you believe the processing infringes the law, you may lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH, 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9–11; www.naih.hu).

5. 18+ content

The website is intended solely for those over 18. By viewing the content you confirm that you are over 18 years of age. Age verification is handled by the prompt shown on entry.
